“If it can be done naturally, why go for artificial means” – this is the basic premise on which ‘organic skin care’ works. Organic skin care is the most natural way of ‘skin care’. In fact, ‘organic skin care’ was probably the first one to be used by man when it first woke-up to the needs of his skin. ‘Organic skin care’ is not only friendlier to skin, but also inexpensive. If exercised in the right way, organic skin care can prevent the occurrence of a lot of skin disorders and can help keep your skin healthy and young-looking for a much longer time.

Organic fruits and vegetables are the most popular things on organic skin care routines e.g. cucumber is very common in organic skin care routines. Turmeric, apple, papaya, ginger are others that find a wide use in organic skin care routines. These organic materials have a very refreshing and vitalizing effect on your skin. Almost every skin care book/guide has section on organic skin care (including the actions of various fruits and vegetables on skin). So choose the ones that are more suitable for your skin type and start experimenting with them until you finally select the ones that are most suitable for inclusion in your organic skin care routine. It’s important that you use fresh organic fruits/vegetables. Don’t try to utilise the rotten ones for your skin, their only place is the garbage bin.

Milk is known to posses good cleansing properties; in fact, the name of some skin care products contains the word ‘milk’ in them. A combination of milk with ground oatmeal acts as wonderful cleanser.

Ground oatmeal is especially good for oily skins and is a popular ingredient in organic skin care regimen. It is used in various combinations e.g. with egg, honey, milk and fruits, for preparation of organic ****** packs.

Wheat germ is another ingredient in organic skin care procedures. It is rich in vitamin E and is known for its exfoliation as well as moisturising properties. Wheat germ, in various combinations with other organic materials, is used to prepare ****** masks for normal and dry skin types. Wheat germ oil is another way in which wheat germ is used for organic skin care.

Yogurt and sour cream are other organic materials that are popular for their exfoliation and moisturising properties.

Use of organic honey is also popular in organic skin care procedures. It helps in retention of moisture and helps impart a glowing look to skin.

Rose water takes its place as a toner in organic skin care routines. Lavender water is popular too.

‘Organic skin care’ uses combinations of various organic materials that complement each other and enhance each other’s effectiveness. Moreover, these combinations are also helpful in over-riding the harmful effects (if any) of various organic materials that form them.

Organic skin care is really an art that, once perfected, can give wonderful results in a very cost effective manner.

By: Nicholas Tan

About the Author:

My research comes from a natural organic stand point, one that looks at the positives in this inevitable rite of passage.

I am sure there are many women in the world today who do not consider the menopause as an issue, many of them have had years and years of monthly periods, some incredibly painful and difficult to deal with, whilst either working or bring up small children.

Not to mention from the age of 12 upwards, organising our periods during school hours that can be tough. So the first positive news for us women is no more monthly cycle yippee!

The best-kept secret of good health and wellbeing during the menopause is to eat as naturally as possible and when I say naturally, I mean plenty of fresh raw fruits and vegetables. Researchers have found, that it is better to eat smaller but more frequent meals which will help stabilise blood sugar levels and to avoid tea, coffee, white flour, refined sugar and alcohol, which not only disrupt these levels but which also deprive the body of vital nutrients often creating an imbalance in the pH levels of the body, which in turn can lead to many of the known diseases of today?

If we took note of dietary advice, not only would our passage be much smoother but we would lose weight, feel fitter and have much more energy. I have seen mature, beautiful women who follow a healthy raw diet, who juice each day, don’t consume very much alcohol with more energy, brain power, libido and drive than most twenty year olds.

If women by their 40th birthday have not begun to look at their health then, yes… I can see how they would have a rough ride come 45 to 50, however if you consider that a healthy diet and moderate exercise will keep you fit, toned and will build muscle and bone strength – by just 50 skips a day you can increase bone density by a small but significant 4%, just think what could be achieved if you started a real lifestyle change.

If you are going through the menopause now, you need to eat a diet that is rich in nutrients – many foods are known as nature’s stress-busters and nutrients need to be replaced every day.

Imagine filling a Ferrari with diesel fuel… see how far you could drive before it would just stop working! Ladies our bodies are a little like a Ferrari… If you put in the wrong fuel, you will stop working and sometimes quite literally.

The very best present a girl can give to herself on her 40th birthday, or any age really, is a total body purification program, re-program and clear out the old, making way for a new way of being. It could set you up for the next 40 years of your life, why would you not want optimum health and vitality.

After you have purified your system your body will be ready to take on effective herbs that help to rebalance hormone levels. These have adaptogenic properties and include Agnus castus, (or chaste berry) which can help prevent hot flushes for many women. Valerian is used to ease tension and Korean (Panax) Ginseng will boost the activity levels of the adrenal glands, which sit on top of the kidneys and produce adrenaline in response to stress signals from the body.

B vitamins, which are known as nature’s stress-busters must be replaced every day. Good healthy food sources of this important nutrient include poultry, salmon, eggs, almonds, cheese, bran, brown rice, fortified breakfast cereals and yoghurt.

Magnesium is the second most commonly deficient mineral in women. Known as nature’s tranquilliser and found in brown pasta, nuts, coconut water and pulses. It also plays a key role in the absorption of calcium that will help protect against osteoporosis during menopause and help to lighten the mood swings.

If you have to choose just one herb to ease you through what is, after all, our perfectly natural rite of passage, then take the Chinese herb, Dong quai – which has oestrogenic properties and nourishes and thickens the thinned walls of the ****** and bladder. Dong quai can also help ease menopausal rheumatism and is rich in magnesium to deepen sleep disturbed by night sweats.

A cautionary note however, supplements can work well but to be honest if you are eating an unhealthy diet, drinking and smoking, you will not only be damaging your body but you may as well just pop the pills into the loo and flush the toilet.

If your colon is full of old faecal matter, possibly acquired over the last 25 years, then the nutrients and herbs cannot be absorbed making them a waste of time and money …

And for those of you that think that a woman’s life is over once she has entered the menopause, bear in mind that a girlfriend of mine who had been through the menopause and had separated from her husband, found love again at 52 and within the year was having her monthly cycle.

So, to any men out there… the menopause for woman is not a disease, it’s a time of absolute freedom on so many levels, so enjoy it and tell her everyday she is amazing…..

By: Deborah Williamson

About the Author:

Nutrition and diet are an important part of a woman’s general health. These factors also affect her sexual health as well. As women age, hormone levels decrease, and with hormone levels so goes the libido. Women can undergo hormone replacement therapy, to replace depleted hormones, but there are alternatives. Monitoring your diet will help you maintain a vital healthy *** life.

For the best sexual health in women, you should eat foods that are high in magnesium, potassium, Vitamin E, zinc, niacin, and amino acids. Foods that are high in fat can damage a woman’s sexual well being by blocking arteries and decreasing blood flow to erogenous zones. Consuming larger amounts of fruits and vegetables lowers cholesterol and increases blood flow. Blood flow equals sexual stimulation. A healthy heart means sexual stamina so eating healthy fibers and starches also contributes to sexual health. Vitamins supplements and multivitamins increase energy levels and boost circulation giving you an overall sexual health boost.

Decreasing stress levels and adequate sleep are always factors in the bedroom. A woman’s ability to maintain sexual interest and have regular ******* hinges on her ability to reduce stress, relax, and be stimulated. Stimulating ones sense of smell and touch through massage oils and lubricants can play an important role in relaxation and overall sexual health. The following methods can be used to help reduce stress: yoga, meditations, or simply a hot bath and a good book.

Nutrition and exercise are an integral part of a man’s sexual health as well. Many factors can contribute to changes in sexual health: including medications, illness, fatigue, and/or diseases. Cardiac complications can be caused by a diet that is high in fat. Adding fish and foods that are high in protein can rejuvenate a man’s sexual health, along with foods containing high amounts of zinc. Fish, shellfish, and oysters all stimulate the health of the prostate.

Vitamin E and Niacin are both vitamins that are directly linked to sexual health. Vitamin E is called the “sex vitamin” because it is said to lead to stronger *********. Niacin constructs the *** and adrenal hormones. This vitamin imitates the natural flush one gets from sexual excitement and arousal. Niacin dilates the blood vessels and allows for more blood flow. Once again, for men as for women, blood flow equals sexual stimulation.

Exercise is good for your body. *** is good for your body. Exercise leads to heightened sexual experiences because the heart is pumping, blood is flowing and energy is available. When you work out, your body releases a great amount of stress. When you reach ****** during intercourse, more stress is released. Basically, your physical and sexual health benefit from your healthy lifestyle.

By: Gregg Hall

About the Author:
